The Shieldmaiden was an Imperial-class Star Destroyer in service of the Imperial Navy. Shortly before the Battle of Endor, it was under the command of Captain Khione. Following a series of escapades, Khione was killed and the Shieldmaiden was heavily damaged by a Rebel team. Led by Alderaanian princess Leia Organa, the team stole the shuttle Tydirium and escaped.
