The Thanos shipyards were a shipyard located in orbit of the planet Thanos, in the Togoria system of Mid Rim's Taldot sector. By the time of 4 ABY, it was considered as one of the 67 major shipyards of the galaxy.
During the Imperial Era, it was operated by the Imperial Military, and kept under tight control, to produce Imperial-class Star Destroyers. The presence of the shipyards prevented the Togorians living on the neighboring world of Togoria to revolt against the Empire. After the Battle of Endor, the planet Thanos and its shipyard fell under control of High Admiral Treuten Teradoc's Greater Maldrood. Thanos was eventually captured by the New Republic in 8 ABY.
