The Roost

The Roost, also known as Roost Station, was a repurposed industrial processing RKDA-class space station shadowport located in deep space in the Bitrose sector of the Outer Rim Territories. It was originally commissioned as an orbital lauch base for the starfighter of local security forces. Later, it became to be operated by Ranzar Malk and served as the base of a crew of mercenaries and a profitable outlaw tech enterprise illegally modifying starships. Access to the Roost was invitaion only and was personally vetted by Malk. The RA-9O protocol droid and later mercenary Q9-0 came from Roost Station.

The Mandalorian bounty hunter known as Din Djarin visited the space station to join a team of mercenaries, who had been tasked by Malk into rescuing the prisoner Qin from the Bothan-5, a New Republic Correctional Transport. The team betrayed Djarin and left him for dead, but he escaped and returned to the station with Qin, the latter unknowingly carrying a tracker from the prison ship. Malk paid Djarin and let him leave, but ordered a gunship to shoot him down. However, a New Republic X-wing squadron followed the tracker's distress signal and opened fire on the station when they detected the gunship, destroying it.
