The Grappling Gun was a grappling hook produced by Zone Control for climbing purposes. It launched a molecularly reinforced line up to its maximum range and use a power winch to reel the user up. The line had a maximum load limit of 200 kilograms.
It was used by the New Republic's Sea Commandos. They were used by the commandos to board targets, such as the World Devastators during the Battle of Calamari. Each grapple gun had three magnetic grapples and a one hundred meter cable.
