Silver Talons

Silver Talons were the second embellishment of the Kalidor Crescent, the highest honor bestowed by the Alliance to Restore the Republic, awarded only by the Alliance Chief of State or by the Supreme Commander of the Alliance Armed Forces for the uttermost acts of heroism and gallantry against an overwhelming force. Eligibility for the second embellishment required a living military individual performing a third act of such conduct, nomination by a superior officer or representative from the Alliance Civil Government, and previously awarded the Bronze Cluster for their Kalidor Crescent.

The embellishment itself was a set of polished silver talons added to the likened appearance of a kalidor in flight, an avian predator species from the Core Worlds planet Davnar II. The previous embellishment was the Bronze Cluster, and subsequent embellishments were the Silver Scimitar, Golden Wings, and Diamond Eyes.
