Chalm Plesk was a University of Coruscant historian who was embedded with the New Republic Defense Fleet during the return of Grand Admiral Thrawn to the galaxy around 9 ABY. Plesk was then blocked from publishing his work, The Last War Against the Galactic Empire: On Deployment with the New Republic Fleet, for years and perished during the destruction of the Republic's capital, Hosnian Prime, in 34 ABY while there to argue his case before the New Republic Senate.
