Parnix was a Silinese warrior who, in 134 BBY, when he was between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five, participated in that year's Crowning Convocation. Ahead of the competition, at the opening and registration event, Parnix danced with the human competitor Lionine Graf. Parnix advanced through both the silspar dueling tournament and survival level to enter into the great hunt, in which ericadi were to be tagged for ecological purposes. Before the Crowning Convocation, however, Parnix was secretly contacted by a mercenary named Orisent, who was planning to infiltrate the great hunt and poach ericadi. Parnix was taken in by the offer to help the mercenaries and do real hunting of the valuable creatures. Therefore, he was given a locator beacon to rendezvous with the hunters.

When Sitia Arthyst, two Jedi Padawans, and Lionine Graf stumbled upon the poaching conspiracy, Parnix revealed the identify of Graf to Orisent, who then decided to kidnap the wealthy youth and the Padawan Jecki Lon in hopes of securing a hefty ransom. This eventually led to Lon discovering Graf was behind the conspiracy and their resulting arrest.

When the kidnapping was complete, Parnix was left behind in the meadow to continue fighting off the other Padawan, Yord Fandar, and a rampaging lylek. Silinese government forces soon arrived, killing every remaining mercenary present except for Parnix, who clung to the robes of Jedi Master Elishe, begging for mercy. Parnix's life was spared, but he was soon taken for interrogation and was shamed by members of the Silinese War Council for betraying his family's legacy.
