Sannen was a male Force-sensitive individual who served the Jedi Order as a Jedi General during the Clone Wars. During the battle for the fourth moon of Parein II, Sannen led the Galactic Republic's forces against General Grievous and his Separatist forces. However, Sannen's forces were utterly crushed. Acting with bravely, Sannen decided to attack the cyborg directly, but he was instead stabbed in the throat with an electrostaff by one of Grievous's IG-100 MagnaGuards.
