Unidentified astromech droid (listen carefully)

A R5 series astromech droid worked with a Weequay technician on a moisture farm in the Great Chott salt flat region of the Outer Rim planet Tatooine during the Imperial Era. It had a white chassis with accents of red and blue. While working on the moisture farm, the astromech droid was responsible for communicating with the farm's moisture vaporators. However in 3 ABY, a group of Jawas stripped a number of components from the droid leaving it unable to communicate with the vaborators. Due to the Weequay's failing eye sight, they were unable to fix the droid themselves.

Later that year, the technician hired the scoundrel Kay Vess to repair the droid. When Vess approached the droid, it communicated the problem in glitchy binary. Unable to understand binary herself, Vess contacted her companion, a BX-series droid commando designated ND-5, using her D4 wrist comlink to act a translator. ND-5 explained that the droid had asked Vess to shoot it. He went on to explain that the droid's processes were malfunctioning on so many levels that the quickest way to repair it would be to short-circuit its entire system. This prompted Vess to shoot the droid with her blaster using an ion blaster module which caused the droid's to be reset. The droid then headed over to the Weequay with Vess who was rewarded for her assistance.
