Shiwal sector

The Shiwal sector was a part of the Mid Rim and contained System VV-99-7JE-2N71 and the Tarchalia and Walin'or systems. The Tarchalia system was home to the Tarchalian gazelles, and the Walin'or system was the origin point of the Walin'or cell of the Rebel Alliance. System VV-99-7JE-2N71 contained an unstable star that was orbited by sixteen planets, including one that had a breathable atmosphere and was home to various life forms. The system was surveyed by the Galactic Republic scout Bshrah-Ky-Ushsj, and at another point, the pirate starship Kragg's Fury was left adrift there.

During the reign of the Galactic Empire, the discovery of the Kragg's Fury led to an expedition to the system, during which the vessel self-destructed. At some point by 2 ABY, the bounty hunter Lu'daal-ud captured high-security datafiles of the Rebel Alliance, thus endangering its operations in the Shiwal sector. The sector was part of the New Republic ten years later, when the New Republic warship Endurance passed through it as part of a military campaign against the Imperial Remnant.
