Courtsilius

Courtsilius was one of the five planets that orbited the sun of the Hosnian system, in the Core region of the galaxy. Large hexagonal and circular city structures covered significant swathes of the planet, and glowed red and blue from orbit.

At one point decades prior to the rise of the Galactic Empire, the planet was the site of the little-remembered Courtsilius Wax Revolution, an atrocity involving the Chrysalis Party that resulted in the death of 10% of the planet's population. The Chandrilan politician Mon Mothma had learned of the event by 29 BBY.

In 20 BBY, in the midst of the Clone Wars, the Galactic Republic's Zero Company, commanded by Hawks, eavesdropped on the Infinite Coil cult at the Gressan Breakbulk Dockyard, in order to learn more about the Separatist-aligned group's plans on Courtsilius. Around the same time, Hawks' special forces team undertook a mission to the caverns beneath the planet's undercity, with the aim to intercept the Coil's mysterious leader Kundri Fathom.

At a gala held on Coruscant in around 19 BBY, shortly after Clone Wars ended with the Separatists' defeat and the Republic's transformation into the Galactic Empire, the now-Imperial Senator Mon Mothma spoke with a Gossam woman who asked her if she remembered the Courtsilius Wax Revolution. Mothma did, although she had not heard the phrase in decades, and upon affirming her memory the Gossam told Mothma to speak with the former Separatist Tychon Nulvolio to gain the support of the ex-Separatist voting bloc.

Decades later, in 34 ABY, the Hosnian system, including Courtsilius, was destroyed in a decapitation strike by the First Order using Starkiller Base. The neo-Imperialist military junta launched the attack against the host system of the New Republic's capital planet, Hosnian Prime, to destroy their hated enemy, and the destruction of the system, including Courtsilius, was visible from across the galaxy. Han Solo, Chewbacca, Finn and the denizens of Maz Kanata's castle witnessed the system's destruction from Takodana, in the Mid Rim, whilst Iden Versio, Shriv Suurgav and Gideon Hask also saw the worlds' destruction in the sky from Kestro City on the Core Worlds planet Vardos. On Castilon in the Outer Rim, Kazuda Xiono and Torra Doza watched on in horror at a First Order broadcast of the event.
