Shadow Council (Imperial Remnant)

The Shadow Council was a ruling council of the Imperial Remnant. Composed of Imperial warlords and potentates to secretly coordinate their effort to subvert the New Republic while they maintained an illusion of being unorganized factions to conceal the existence and true strength of the Imperial Remnant until it was too late.

The council served as the revised Shadow Council of the Galactic Empire which formed in the last year of the Galactic Civil War, which collapsed after the Battle of Jakku, and was active by 9 ABY during the New Republic Era. It consisted of at least nine delegations including Captain Gilad Pellaeon representing Grand Admiral Thrawn, Moff Gideon, and Commanders Barro and Janu Coin as well as Commandant Brendol Hux on behalf of a faction in the Unknown Regions led by Grand Admiral Rae Sloane. During one of their meetings, they discussed a number of matters, including the quashing of Mandalorians intent on retaking Mandalore, advances made in cloning efforts, Project Necromancer, and preparations for the return of Grand Admiral Thrawn. Moff Gideon, however, coveted the reins of leadership but would ultimately perish on Mandalore before he could rise to power.
