Nouane was an Inner Rim trade world and the capital of the Nouane region. It had famous libraries and a long tradition of skillful statecraft. Originally the center of a small state separate from the Galactic Republic, it was ravaged by the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders during the Mandalorian Wars, which prompted the region to seek the protection of the Republic and eventually became one of its Allied Regions. Later, Nouane became part of the Galactic Empire but afterward remained independent from its successor, the New Republic.
