Herglic Space

Herglic Space was located in the Colonies around the Rimma Trade Route, a territory founded by the Herglic before the Galactic Republic. It contained the planet Giju and some 40 other star systems.

The Herglic Space was the remnant of an ancient trade empire ruled by the Herglics. That empire once included a territory of much of what would be called the Colonies, and the Inner Rim. Eventually the empire collapsed, leaving only its core with Giju and other systems around the Rimma (a branch of the ancient Hidakai Pool). A millennium after that collapse, the Herglics allied with the Republic. Herglic populations however continued to be found all along the Rimma.

The Galactic Empire attempted to nationalize its manufacturing centers shortly before the Declaration of a New Order; a brief uprising was suppressed before it was named an Allied Region. Eventually, Herglic Space aligned with the New Republic and the Galactic Alliance.
