Ord Mynock was a planet located within the Ord Mynock system of the Prefsbelt sector within the Outer Rim Territories and New Territories. It fell within grid square K-6 of the Standard Galactic Grid. It was the homeworld of the mynock, a silicon-based species of vacuum-breathing creatures that fed on energy. Some mynocks left Ord Mynock and traveled to nearby asteroids and planetoids. The Prefsbelt sector was reputed to be the source of mynocks.
In 34 ABY, the Creature Stall in Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu sold toy mynocks with labels that listed Ord Mynock as the creatures' homeworld. Galactic Society of Creature Enthusiasts Director of Creature Cartography Ardis San Tekka mentioned Ord Mynock when writing about mynocks in her journal at some point after the Battle of Exegol in 35 ABY.
