Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.

Taanab was a planet of green meadows in the Taanab system of the Inner Rim Territories. It was primarily used for agriculture and farming. Its populace was known for always maintaining an air of formality. Taanab had problems with seasonal pirate raids from bandits striking from the planet Norulac for millennia prior to the Battle of Taanab.

Located on the Perlemian Trade Route between Tirahnn and Lantillies, it served as a strategic port to the Hapes Consortium via a smaller trade route, which led through the Hapes Cluster as far away as Zeltros. Due to its favourable position Taanab was known as a popular destination place and a growing commercial hub in the outer edges of the Inner Rim.
