The Heart of Siline was a large, crystal-laden cavern located at the edge of an ancient volcanic range near the badlands of Siline. It was considered highly sacred by the Silinese. The Heart of Siline spanned thousands of meters in diameter and was hundreds of meters tall. It resembled a roughly-spherical geode, with a nondescript outside but glimmering with numerous multicolored crystals within. The crystals of citrine, quartz, amethyst, and topaz caught the light let in by two openings in the roof of the natural cavern. Since the Heart of Siline was nestled within a range of volcanic mountains, the cavern was connected to a network of tunnels and mineshafts.

The Heart of Siline was held in the highest regard by the Silinese. It was used for religious ceremonies, celestial events, or momentous occasions. Regular access to the Heart was restricted to certain warrior-priests and old families. For the special occasions, access would be widened to the greater Silinese population, but it would still be restricted to those of pure Silinese descent. The regions extensive veins of iflisalt, a valuable Silinese mineral, connected to the Heart of Siline, but any mining near the Heart was restricted despite technology that would allow for its safe extraction.

When, in 134 BBY, the human Lionine Graf and the Jedi Padawan Jecki Lon were kidnapped by a group of off-world mercenaries, they were secretly brought to the Heart of Siline for hiding. This evoked mixed emotions for the young Graf, as they had always wanted to visit the location, but the circumstances were less than ideal. Ultimately, they felt the sheer awe of the place and would carry that feeling with them.
