Maul: Lockdown is a Star Wars Legends novel that features the Sith Lord Darth Maul. The story takes place one year before the events of Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace and ties into the novel Darth Plagueis; it follows Maul on a mission in which he must infiltrate the Cog Hive Seven space prison to obtain a nuclear bomb for his Sith Master, Darth Sidious.
It was written by Joe Schreiber and first published by Del Rey in hardcover on January 28, 2014, becoming the penultimate Legends novel to be released after Lucasfilm discontinued the Legends continuity on April 25 of that year. The first paperback edition was released on January 27, 2015.
